SUMMARY:BHS Annual Meeting & Colonel William Crawford and the American Revolution
DESCRIPTION:Historian and Colonel William Crawford re-enactor\, Mark Cory\, will speak about Colonel Crawford’s life and accomplishments during the American Revolution period. \nCrawford was a close friend of George Washington and a trusted frontier officer who played a key role in early American expansion and military efforts during the Revolutionary era. William Crawford served as a Continental Army officer and frontier leader during the American Revolution\, helping defend western settlements from British-allied Native American forces. He commanded militia expeditions in the Ohio Country\, most notably leading the ill-fated Sandusky Expedition in 1782\, a part of the “western theater” of the Revolution.
