The Galion History Center's mission is to preserve and
promote the history of Galion and surrounding
townships through education and preservation. Our
historic campus is located on the intersection of S. Union
and W. Walnut streets in Galion. We are in the
stewardship of five historic buildings and operate two
museum spaces; The Brownella Cottage Complex (1887),
Historic Grace Church (1875), Koppe-Skinner Home (c.
1863), the Union Schoolyard, and the Hayden-Helfrich
Annex Museum. The Galion History Center was founded
in 1955 and is celebrating 70 years in 2025.
