Step into the kitchen of the past with our History of Pioneer Cooking Lecture 🍲. Here is your chance to “edu-tain” about the history of pioneer cooking from the early colonists meeting the challenges of new and unknown foods – through the inventions of the cookstove and even soap. It is an opportunity to put into context all that America has brought to the table – literally.
This lecture is a 45 minute presentation show, appealing to all ages and even non-cooks, about eating, our culture, and our local history as much as it is about cooking.
This talk supports Crawford County Art Center’s mission to offer accessible, hands-on learning through the arts. Your registration helps keep community programs and future workshops open to everyone who wants to explore history, craft, and creativity.
